Negril Jamaica Rental in Negril with negrilcondo.com |
Located within beautiful Point Village Condo Resort is unit # 216, and it can be yours for a week, a month, as long as you wish. Here is the story of how this unit became available for your vacation rental.
In mid-2003 John Brandon from Massachusetts was in Negril visiting with friends, Jennifer Malcolm and David Konovitch, who live in the West End of Negril. Jennifer and David told the Mr. Brandon that a unit was for sale in Point Village, and he fell in love with it. Ironically, the seller was also a Mr. Brandon, from Kingston.
After the closing, Jennifer and David undertook to renovate the unit for me. We gutted the kitchen and had custom-made cedar counters and cabinets made by a local craftsman. We replaced all the floor tiles, downstairs and upstairs, and in both bathrooms. We replaced all the wall tiles in the bathrooms and kitchen. We stripped and re-stained all the wood surfaces: Stairs, railings, upstairs floors, living room ceiling, doors, molding. We had our dining room table, six chairs, coffee table, four Adirondack chairs, and four TV trays custom made from native hardwoods by a local furniture maker.
We painted every wall, and we replaced all the kitchen appliances and sink. We installed a new washer and dryer in a space we created under the stairs. We installed ceiling fans, wall fans, mounted TVs on the walls in both bedrooms, and installed air conditioning units outside the building that service both upstairs bedrooms. We have cable-access TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. We bought a new microwave, blender, flatware, dishware, towels, everything to stock our luxury condo.
Finally, to finish the new space, we visited local artists and bought many original works of art to hang on the walls. We have paintings from some of Jamaica’s finest artists in our condo. We visited local pottery shops and bought bowls, vases, and wall hangings to decorate the unit. We brought artwork from America to hang on the walls, and hired a local carver, Mr. Crouxie, to carve the mahogany beam in the foyer, and the mahogany banister going up the stairs. We believe we have created the finest unit in Point Village, and when you see it you’ll agree.
I want you to come enjoy Point Village and experience the serenity and peacefulness that I have found there. You will love it, as I do.
Sincerely,
John Brandon. |
